His Identity Incorporated Ministries (HIIM)

Our Mission: Living in Our True Identity with Compassion and Purpose

What people believe about themselves is their identity.  Identity is what governs how a person looks at the world, makes decisions, and responds to challenges.  The problem is that we all have had life experiences that may have kept us from knowing and owning our true, God-ordained identity.  Romans 12:2 admonishes us not to be conformed to the world.  Another way of saying it:  harmful words spoken, injustices, traumatic events, and other negative influences ought not shape our identity.  Rather, we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  Our identity ought to be defined by what our Heavenly Father thinks about us.  If we spend time in His Word and communing with Him, we can learn His will and be empowered to live it.

At His Identity Incorporated Ministries (HIIM), we believe every human being carries inherent worth and a unique purpose. Our mission is to walk alongside individuals—especially the poor, the vulnerable, and the suffering—offering compassion, not condemnation, and extending practical support where it is needed most.

We serve by feeding the hungry, clothing the exposed, tending to the sick, caring for widows, nurturing the orphaned, and discipling the willing. Beyond addressing physical needs, we are deeply committed to helping individuals experience inner healing, restoration, peace, and dignity—breaking cycles of suffering that may have spanned generations.

Our approach centers on love in action. We cultivate spiritual growth by helping individuals discover their true, God-ordained identity and walk in confidence, peace, and selfless service to others. As people are healed and empowered, they in turn become a source of healing in their communities—passing on what they’ve received and learned.

We are an interdenominational ministry, united by a heart to serve and to see people live a fulfilling life.  We invite others to join us—not simply in charity, but in a movement of restoration that uplifts both giver and receiver, bringing lasting change to lives and communities.

Background: A Calling to India

In January 2025, God stirred the hearts of Steve and Precious Rhea, leading them to an unexpected place: a village in Andhra Pradesh, India (star in the image). What began as a small act of obedience led to a remarkable series of divine appointments and has grown into a Spirit-led movement of hope and healing, impacting hundreds of lives in the region.

When she’s not giving impromptu messages to people with whom Nidjju is talking, Precious ministers to orphaned girls—many rescued from the horrors of sex trafficking—teaching them English, sign language, music, and above all, the love of God.

Orphanage #1 (Nidjju – 56 girls in the village): Nidjju is a faithful young woman who encountered Jesus in a dream, left Hinduism, and now serves passionately.  She is responsible for the care of these girls and young women, overseeing their housing, nutrition, clothing, medical treatment, and personal hygiene.  We have been supporting her in this endeavor and in her outreach to the surrounding communities.

Orphanage #2 (Shydjju – 20 children in a neighboring village): We have provided food, medical care, medicine and transportation. We are also sponsoring a brother and sister (story on page 4) on a monthly basis, including sending them both to a Christian school.  Recently all 20 children suffered from chickenpox. We were able to respond immediately with funds for treatment and nutrition.

Orphanage #3 (Radha – 16 children in the mountains): This shelter is frequently damaged by storms and threatened by king cobras. The need for a secure building is urgent, including consistent food, water, and medical care.  One of our teammates, Barb Hurst, ministers to these orphan children by sharing the love of God and Biblical lessons to grow in their faith. Of course, every lesson has to begin with a song – these children love to sing!

Since January, HIIM has sent over $15,000 to meet immediate needs such as food, rent, medical care, clothing, and transportation. By God’s grace, these funds have helped rescue, heal, and empower those most vulnerable.  It is miraculous that these funds have been provided.

Discipleship and Training

Steve and our team are actively discipling 10 Elders and 220 pastors who are eager to learn.  We are working to translate critical training materials into the local language and establish a discipleship program that is repeatable and sustainable.  Regardless of their financial state, we will equip them with the tools they need to disciple others.  Established effectively, this will become a natural outpouring from household to household as they share about the change in their life.

The need is also great to provide vocational training as well as mentoring and financing in start up business endeavors.  We desire to equip these disciples to prosper and be a light to their communities.  Ultimately, they will be able to carry on the mission without financial support, and actually help others overcome in the way they have been helped.

Despite living with almost nothing and coming from the lowest Hindu caste, these believers walk hours through mountainous terrain to gather and worship—radiating joy and an unquenchable hunger for God’s Word.

We also extend care to widows and those suffering with leprosy, many of whom are outcasts in society, restoring their dignity with love and tangible support.

Persecution and Faith

Recently, 40 families gave their lives to Jesus. In response, a Hindu priest set their homes on fire. They now live in hiding, displaced and afraid in the jungle. Seven of the women are pregnant.  We are committed to helping them find refuge and safety.

One of the pastors had his home destroyed; another was martyred for his faith, run off the road by extremists. The persecution is real—and so is the perseverance of these precious people.

Stories of Hope

A Miracle Birth

We were contacted by Nidjju in April about a Christian pregnant woman in the mountain who had gone into labor and was hemorrhaging.  They had to carry her down the mountain in a basket attached to a pole.  They did not have money to pay the hospital ($500 delivery fee + $500 transfusion).  She was under intense pressure to relinquish her newborn to a Hindu couple who had offered to pay the hospital expenses in exchange for the baby.  We were able to collaborate to raise the $1,000 needed so the mother and baby could be saved and remain together as a family.  The parents were so grateful that they allowed us to name the baby.  After prayer and discernment, two of our team members (Precious and Barb) independently came up with the exact same first name for this little boy, and that name was Caleb (Joseph). The parents named him Caleb Joseph.

Restoration Through Surgery

One of the young women at Nidjju’s orphanage, just 24 years old, faced a life-threatening medical crisis due to the severe trauma she endured from being trafficked. She came close to hemorrhaging to death—twice. On her birthday, April 7, she cried all day and feared it might be her last.

By God’s grace and with the help of generous hearts, we were able to gather the $3,500 needed for her surgeries, hospital care, medication, transportation, and food. She required two major surgeries: one to remove fibroids and another to address extensive trauma and infection.  We prayed fervently that her ability to bear children would be preserved. In a miracle of mercy, the doctor was able to save her uterus.

God spared her life on her birthday—a powerful reminder of His faithfulness. Today, she is recovering well, filled with new hope and a renewed sense of purpose. She has now expressed a desire to follow in the footsteps of Precious and Barb, dedicating her life to service and ministry, helping others experience God’s love and healing.

Deliverance for Two Abandoned Siblings

A young mother lost her husband in a work-related accident.  She ended up in a relationship with a man who abused her children so severely that the government came in and took the children.  There is a picture of the boy showing his scars from being whipped with a phone cord. The mother ran away for fear of being stoned to death by the community.  The two children were traumatized.  We were able to arrange their rescue and care.  While Michael and Susanna still have much grief to work through, they now have hope while they reside in Shydjju’s orphanage.  We’ve sponsored them to attend school and provide for their food and clean water.

These are just 3 examples of a number of miracles that have happened since HIIM has become involved in India.

Why Now?

This movement of hope is growing, but the resources are thin. From providing food, medical needs, and shelter to building orphanages and clinics to developing vocational training, we are working hand-in-hand with these believers to establish sustainable, repeatable ministry patterns.  The needs are great.  Though we support much of this ministry remotely through cell phone video with Nidjju translating, the call is clear: God gave us this assignment for this time. We must respond. Steve even retired three years earlier than planned to pursue the calling.  He had worked at that job for 36 years.

The harvest is ripe. Lives are being changed. The Spirit of God is moving in power. We are working to:

  • Sustain food, clean water, housing, medical care, and schooling for over 100 children.
  • Aid widows and lepers with food, medical care, and housing.
  • Construct safe, permanent shelters as needed.
  • Establish clean water sources.
  • Purchase land for various farming and livestock (cows, chickens, and goats).
  • Develop vocational training and education programs.
  • Mentor and finance start-up businesses.
  • Train and empower local leaders for long-term transformation.

Our Global Vision Starts with a Simple Truth:

Identity changes everything.

When people know who they are in God—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically—they are equipped to live powerfully, serve faithfully, and love deeply.

Our mission is to ignite that transformation across communities and nations.  We help people discover, embrace, and live out their true, God-ordained identity—locally and globally.
