Africa has been near and dear to the heart of both David and Charity for many years. In 2011 God birthed in them a love for the Ugandan people specifically. The Zimmers take the call to go and make disciples very seriously. They have gleaned from their experiences in Uganda that the best people to win Ugandans to Christ are Ugandans. It is the goal of their ministry to disciple believers in the country and empower them with the Word of God and the unction of the Holy Spirit to lead their nation to the Lord. In 2017 David and Charity partnered with Faith Evangelistic Ministries in Kasese, led by Bishop Christopher Tindimwebwa. David and Charity held an Evangelistic Gospel Tour in villages all across Western Uganda in January 2018 and returned in September to host a leadership conference for 50+ churches. With the help of friends and family and their local church they were able to provide nearly 300 Bibles in four languages to the people as well as Study Bibles for some of the pastors. David and Charity plan to return with a team in January 2020. While preparations are being made to put a team together, they are raising funds for the ministry in Uganda. The needs are many; pastors and families in need and school children that need sponsored to cover their costs for school.
